All your Christmas shopping in one Market
Make Christmas shopping a pleasure and buy the best presents ever in support of Shelter at Vitra’s stress free market.
This contemporary interpretation of the traditional Christmas market has seven stalls offering special gifts created by small producers and designer/makers (plus some seasonal specials from Vitra of course) at Vitra’s showroom in Clerkenwell from 5th December until 22nd December 2011.
And to make sure the less fortunate are not forgotten, 10% of all takings will go to Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity.
Gifts on offer will include Susan Bradley’s award-winning outdoor wallpaper designs and her new letter racks. Craft Central’s collection of designers will show a selection of hand crafted goodies including felt decorations, exclusive jewellery and elegant porcelain pieces. The newly relaunched Falcon Enamelware has plenty of vintage appeal, with re-editions of its enamel cookware.
Vitra will be selling its special edition its Eames Hang it All coat hooks and Nelson clocks in new sophisticated and season colour ways. Lighting company Belux will launch its new table light Baby Cloud by Frank Gehry.
A brand new design magazine will also be launched during the market. Disegno is a magazine, website and salon dedicated to international architecture, design and fashion. Twice a year, Disegno releases a printed magazine. This biannual tome is dedicated to key events in architecture, design and fashion over the last six months. It is an essential read and flick for both laymen and professionals and gives a flavour of the current stylistic and intellectual preoccupations of architects, product and fashion designers.
